Danganronpa: Post-Mortem Memories follows the story of Mayumi Noriko, the Ultimate Judge, as she partakes in a deadly killing game after witnessing the deaths of eight other Ultimates. She must uncover the secrets of both the wicked Headmaster Monokuma and the serial killing she witnessed, all while surviving the Class Trials, where she and the other Ultimates students must face off with the Blackened, one of the students who has murdered another. This Fangan is a one man project, made in Twine, a free online interactive story maker. The following story contains the prologue of Post Mortem Memories, as well as a rudimentary Nonstop Debate demo. The character sprites were made in Charat BigBang for the boys and Charat Genesis for the girls. The background images are either ripped from the game or made by fans, and [[here are the sources for those images->Dev Notes-Sources]]. Here I will be going over the thought process in making PMM and how I plan about making it, go to the itch.io page for a technical aspect of the game and the Reddit post for a Q&A. The quality of this Fangan is relatively low, especially compared to what other Fangans aim to put out. However, my goal for the production of PMM is to focus on quantity over quality, and try to release something of substance in a timely manner. I would much rather have the full game out in a poor quality form with regular updates rather than a high quality chapter 1 that takes a long, undefined time. I don’t aim to disregard quality however, after this. I do plan on improving the prologue while making the Chapter 1 Daily Life, hopefully with help. But do expect that the first version of each part of PMM will be rough around the edges and will later receive a polishing afterwards. I know that for some the lack of different sprites for the characters, the rudimentary overlay or the general lack of polish overall might be distracting, and I apologize and hope that it doesn’t prevent you from enjoying the story. As aforementioned I didn’t want to drag my feet focusing on making the prologue as good as possible with character creator sprites and my basic coding skills, rather I wanted to see what I could do.
